Another Confirmation for Change

So here is another confirmation for change. Change is important, necessary, and essential for growth. Growth: progression, emergence, change.

You know how folks say that they need a sign to be sure that they are doing the right thing when they have to make a decision or change to the ‘unknown’ or something new or different. Some say they need confirmation and that could be in the form of someone repeating or something acknowledged by others or a thing, well read below.

"If we don't change, we don't grow. If we don't grow, we are not really living. Growth demands a temporary surrender of security."  — Gail Sheehy, American journalist

I got this quote from my friend Donna's blog, Flying Solo Travelling Light. She generally ends each post with a quote to ‘close’ the record and perhaps provide more food for thought. As I visited this week, I lifted this one because it speaks volumes about my recent situation and posts. Lord knows I have surrendered security because I want growth; growth, not just from food and nourishment from food for physical growth, which is a different issue for me. It is vast, deeper, wider, and broader growth than that - it is temporal, enduring, and profound.

Huh, what do you say? What are your thoughts and ideas about the topic of change, growth and the issue of confirmation? Please share with us.

Hi Philly - so many questions are there not! Change is a constant in our lives - it never stops. I am learning to enjoy change - to accept and surrender to it. I find it so much easier to enjoy the journey that way.

PS: On the subject of 'confirmation', it is my belief this comes from within us. Nothing outside of our universal selves (higher self) can give us confirmation. That's only 'my' belief. xx

Donna, I agree with you. The 'knowing' comes from within. We just have to listen carefully and believe, but that's not easy. I guess it is easier to accept or believe when it seems tangible or we hear from others -confirmation - that it is the right thing.
Could there be more to it?

Crumbs Philly - I think there is so much more to it we have not even kissed the tip of the iceberg. We are in 'earth school', and it's a tough intense class. Not everyone is even aware of that. How lucky are we to be blessed in wanting to take the journey, wanting to 'dig', wanting to make our best life. Many humans have never considered such things. xx PS: I know I could talk to you for hours!

Either we change or we are being changed!

Confirmation? My humble opinion is that : DO OUR BEST ( the most important thing which helps us to clear our conscience if anything goes wrong! Hahaha.. . )AND ACCEPT THE END RESULTS! Nothing in this world can be CONFIRMED since CHANGE is the only constant in this world! Just like one of my teachers, the doctor told his family that he has colon cancer and he has only 3 months to live!He was at the age of 52 at the time of diagnosis. His family was very worried, sad and started to prepare for his day! However, he did not give up or surrender his life, he is very positive that he can overcome the sickness. He started to change his life style and eating habits (he did not ask anyone for confirmation whether by doing so he can recover from the sickness!). On approaching the doctor's predicted day, he visited the doctor again and asked for the doctor's opinion on his health status. The doctor was shocked that he has completely recover from his sickness. He live till the age of 73.

I strongly believe that worrying is just like a rocking chair, it keeps you occupied but leads you nowhere. Do not let our worry to pull us back in life! It is just like making decision to change, if we change, at least we can expect certain % of different results. If we don't change, we will continue to get the same results! The choice is in our hand. Whether we decide to change or not, time will let us know whether we have made the right decision!
